2024 Summer Applications

Applications are open for our Summer Intern, Summer Staff (College Volunteer), and kicking off our new Adult Guest Program for the 2024 Season.

Dates

Summer Staff Volunteers serve an entire Session (typically 3-4 weeks).

Summer Interns serve from mid-May through mid-August.

Summer Staff

This volunteer experience is for those who are at least one year out of high school (college age or older). The summer staff roles require considerable maturity and non-verbal witness. Each summer staff session is about one month long. Please apply as soon after September 1st as possible. Qualified applicants will be accepted into positions based on the order applications are received. If you have any questions, contact us.

Session 1:​ May 24 - June 20
Waterfront arrive May 23

Session 2: June 20 - July 12
Waterfront arrive June 19

Session 3: July 12 - August 7
Waterfront arrive July 10

To Apply:

Please first check availability​ of openings. Then apply online. You will need the email address of a Young Life staff person who is willing to write a recommendation on your behalf.

​JOBS: Bakers, Cooks, Waterfront, Lifeguards, Landscapers, Ropes, Program Techs, and Retail (Coffee House, Snack Bar, Store)!

*Clearwater Cove is located on Table Rock Lake in Southwest Missouri. In order to be a boat driver​ you need to pass the Missouri State Boaters Safety​ test as well as a Red Cross lifeguarding class. All lifeguards​ must pass a Red Cross lifeguarding class.

weekend Wranglers

 

Weekend Wranglers serve camp during our retreat season in the school year. Wrangler responsibilities could cover a variety of roles throughout the weekend. In addition to volunteering, you will stay on camp alongside other volunteers. Room and board will be included. ​

Jobs:

Boat drivers, lifeguards, arrows, troop carriers, retail (coffee shop, tin can, store), ropes course, and food service.

 

Work Crew

This volunteer experience is for those in high school. To be eligible you must have completed one year of high school and complete your local area's work crew training course. Each work crew session is about one month long during the summer.

Session 1: May 24 - June 20

Session 2: June 20 - July 12

Session 3:​ July 12 - August 7

Jobs:

Pits (dishwashers), Housekeeping, Servers (dining hall) and Outdoor Crew (landscaping)

The application process begins with a Young Life staff recommendation. To apply, please talk with your local Young Life staff.

Adult Guests ​ ​ ​

Adults can have the time of their lives at Clearwater Cove, too! During each week of summer camp up to twelve adults may participate in our new Young Life Adult Guest program. Adult guests stay in the beautiful Adult Guest Lodge, eat meals with campers, go to Young Life club and soak in the entire camp experience.

Adult guests are registered through local Young Life area offices. If you cannot locate your local Young Life area office please contact us.

YoungLives

YoungLives​ Childcare — a mission trip like none other

Every summer hundreds of teen moms head to Young Life camp to hear the gospel in a relatable and impactful way.

To make it all possible, individuals and groups from around the country spend a week caring for the children of the teen moms.

Opportunities, dates and information are available at goyounglives.younglife.org.

Work Week

We would love for you to join us in May to prepare camp for summer 2024!

WHAT:​ Paint, clean, fellowship, mow, plant, wash, eat, pray, hammer, worship.

WHO: Anyone wanting to serve: leaders, campaigners groups, college alumni, committees, adults, skilled or non-skilled, laborers, friends, family, and college students.

COST:​ FREE! Your all-expense paid time includes housing, great food and lots of hard but very rewarding work.

WHEN: May 16th-20th, 2024

Please complete an online health form​ before arriving at camp. ​ You will have access to the paper version of the Health form after you Register.
